Firefox: KeeFox brings tight integration between the cross-platform, open-source password manager KeePass and Firefox, providing automatic logins, form filling, and more.

Firefox/Chrome: Sure it's nice and all that we get Gmail for free, but those ads to the right of open messages aren't really all that helpful. Free browser add-on Rapportive replaces Gmail ads with contact info about the sender.

Firefox: Maybe you've seen your favorite extensions fall behind when new Firefox releases roll out, but you haven't known what to do about it. A new-ish Mozilla add-on not only enables technically incompatible extensions for testing, but makes reporting actual incompatibilities easy.

Firefox only: Clicking through multiple product images while shopping on Amazon is really a chore. PictureFox, a handy Firefox add-on, opens all the images in a single gallery so you can stop making with the clicky-clicky all the time.

The official Mozilla Add-ons Blog has issued a security notice to Firefox users regarding two experimental add-ons that made their way onto the Firefox Add-ons pages containing malware. The extensions in question—Sothink Web Video Downloader and Master Filer (neither of which had we even heard of)—target Windows users and have been removed. Mozilla reassures users:

Firefox: As you make the rounds commenting at your favorite blog or composing a lengthy email, avoid misspellings or a bad turn of phrase with After the Deadline's excellent grammar and spellcheck Firefox extension.

Firefox: Sick of having to start a completely new session (and get rid of your old one) just for private browsing? Firefox extension Private Browsing Window starts your private session in a new window without closing old ones, like Chrome's Incognito Window.

Firefox only: If you're a web developer, there's one Firefox extension that you should without question be using, and that's Firebug. The extensive web development toolbox just updated to version 1.5, bringing with it several great new features and fixes.

Windows only: The download window in Firefox is helpful for quick opening of files, but not much else. Downloads Context Menu adds the usual Windows Explorer context menu to each file, so you can perform more tasks without having to open Explorer.

Firefox only (Windows/Mac/Linux): If you've found yourself wanting for a clipboard manager you pack along with Firefox when you commute between work stations, Clipple extends clipboard functionality wherever you use Firefox. While a system-wide clipboard manager might be ideal, if you do most of your work in Firefox and you take it with you everywhere you go on your flash drive it's efficient to plug your clipboard manager right into Firefox.
